We are hiring
Technical Executive Assistant
We’re looking for a technical Executive Assistant based in Thailand to support our CEO and Lead Executive Assistant across IT service management, ticket coordination, incident monitoring, project coordination, and executive administration.
This is a technical role. You’ll work daily inside a code editor, AI assistants, a ticketing system, and project management tools. You do not need to be a developer and you will not be asked to build software. You do need to be genuinely comfortable with technical tools and willing to learn new ones quickly.
If working in a terminal, a code editor, or an AI assistant sounds like something you would rather avoid, this is not the right role and you should not apply.
This is an Executive Assistant role, not a Virtual Assistant role. You will exercise judgment, manage information flow, communicate on behalf of the CEO, and handle sensitive matters. We’re looking for skills, not just hours, and a long-term partner, not a stopgap.
If you are looking for a developer role, this is not it, and it will not become one. We hire developers separately. People who join us to write code and end up coordinating tickets do not stay, so we would rather say that now than waste your time.
Location: Thailand, remote. Work from anywhere in the country.
Languages: Thai and English, both required. Thai native or fluent, English at C1 level, written and spoken.
Hours: Full-time, 160 hours per month, with flexible scheduling
Weekends: This role works Saturdays and Sundays, with days off during the week instead.
Work type: Independent contractor
Compensation: $2.00 to $3.50 USD per hour, depending on skill and experience, paid in USD, Rate grows with proven value.
Independent contractor engagement, not employment. You handle your own tax and social security; no paid leave or severance. Exclusive engagement.
Weekend work is the shape of this job, not an occasional request. Our clients’ systems don’t stop at the weekend. If you cannot work Saturdays and Sundays, please don’t apply.
What you will do
- Monitor our ticketing system daily. Create, update, assign and chase tickets, turn incoming email and chat into tracked tickets, and escalate incidents to the right person quickly.
- Use AI assistants every day to draft, research, analyse data and automate repetitive work. This is core to how we work, not a bonus skill.
- Track deadlines and deliverables across several client projects, and report daily and weekly on ticket status and team workload.
- Support the CEO: email and message triage, calendar, meeting prep and document drafting.
- Handle all Thai-language work: translation, drafting, and dealing with Thai clients, suppliers, our accountant and government bodies. Our Chief Marketing Officer is Thai, so you’ll work in Thai internally too.
- Support our year-round recruitment: screening candidates, scheduling interviews, tracking applicants and handling correspondence.
- Finance and billing support: payroll runs, chasing invoices, collecting supplier invoices and keeping records accurate. Not an accounting role.
- Cover the other Executive Assistants when they are on leave. You’ll be trained across their work.
- Support our Chief Marketing Officer as our products launch: posting content from her direction and monitoring responses.
- Find work rather than wait for it. We give goals and context, not step-by-step instructions. Self-initiative is the single most important quality for this role.
Job Requirements
- Thai and English, both fluent. English at C1, written and spoken.
- Genuine comfort with technical tools: a code editor, a terminal, a ticketing system, version control basics. We’ll show you how; you must be willing.
- Willingness to use AI tools daily, and to keep learning them as they change.
- Self-directed. You find work, ask good questions, and need little guidance once you understand the goal.
- Speed and efficiency. A task that should take ten minutes should take ten minutes. We measure output, not hours logged.
- Accuracy with numbers, dates, invoices and client records, where a small error becomes a client problem.
- Comfortable being trained across other people’s work, and switching between very different tasks in a day.
- Able to work Saturdays and Sundays, with days off during the week.
- Clear, short written communication. You will write to clients and to the team on the CEO’s behalf.
- Reliable computer, internet and a quiet place to work.
- Advantageous: a background in QA, business analysis, technical support, service desk or operations; ITIL, ITSM or any ticketing system; bookkeeping exposure; able to read and edit existing HTML or CSS. Any degree, in any field.
